Passes are vital to security and created in accordance with EU and UK DfT regulations. It's a serious subject, but our team at the ID Centre is here to help.

Passes will be issued to those who require access into those airside areas of the airport which make up the Critical Part, to airside areas that fall outside of the Critical Part and to those who work landside.

There are four categories of pass:

Full Airside ID Pass

The Full LLA pass is issued to individuals with a legitimate operational need to access critical areas of the Airport on an on-going basis.

Landside ID Pass

A Landside pass is for individuals working in landside areas only.

Visitor Temporary Pass

A 1–7 day pass is issued to individuals with a legitimate operational need to access critical areas of the airport for a period of 7 days or less.

If you require a 1–7 day pass an Authorised Signatory will submit an application via ID Gateway
All temporary pass holders must be escorted by an LLA buddy with a full pass at all times.

Employment Temporary Pass

A 1–60 day pass is issued to individuals with a legitimate operational need to access critical areas of the airport for a period of between 1 and 60 days.

The small print

If you require a 1–60 day pass, you must get an Authorised Signatory to apply for it via ID Gateway

All temporary pass holders must be escorted by an LLA buddy with a full pass at all times.

A note to non-LLA employees

Applications can only be made by Authorised Signatories of the organisation employing you. So, if you’re the individual seeking a pass, please liaise with your contact.
