Types of Airport ID Passes issued at LLA

In accordance with EU and UK DfT regulation Airport ID Passes are issued to all individuals who require access into the airside areas of the airport which make up the Critical Part.  

Additional to the aforementioned regulation at LLA Airport ID Passes are also issued to individuals who require access to airside areas that fall outside of the Critical Part, and to individuals who work landside.

 
  • Full Airport ID Pass – issued to individuals who have an ongoing legitimate operational need to access the critical part. Period of validity will not exceed 3 years for employees and 1 year for contractors.
  • 1-5 Day Temporary Pass – issued to individuals who have a legitimate operational need to access the critical part that will not exceed 5 days.
  • 6-60 Day Temporary Pass – issued to individuals who have a legitimate operational need to access the critical part that will exceed 5 days but will not exceed 60 days.
  • Landside Airport ID Pass – issued to individuals who work within the landside area only 
 

Each Airport ID shall be issued according to the areas of the airport to which the holder requires access and shall be coloured as appropriate.

Airport ID Passes that are issued for use within the Critical Part shall further identify the area or areas to which the holder is entitled to have access and this is denoted by the use of numbers.
