Disability Information
Terminal Facilities
At London Luton Airport we have designed our access and facilities with disabled passengers in mind. Access to the terminal building is via revolving doors. Doors 2 and 5 are designated as "accessible", ideal for wheelchair customers and those with assistance dogs.
Disabled customers requiring assistance into the terminal building are requested to use one of the Special Assistance Help Points. These are located in all the car parks and outside the terminal building. There is also a Special Assistance desk within the terminal building.
Many telephones offer a number keypad and a touch screen. In addition there is Internet access and a facsimile facility. There are also lowered phones for wheelchair users in each phone bay.
Induction loops have been installed at the check-in desks and at many customer services desks.
There are also accessible toilets for disabled customers in all areas.
Boarding and Disembarkation procedures
Disabled customers must advise the airline of any disability assistance they may require, either through the airport or to board and disembark the aircraft. Once at the airport they should confirm their requirements with the check in agent. If customers requiring assistance and travelling out of London Luton Airport have made a website booking and do not need to check in they must attend the Special Assistance desk in the main concourse on their arrival at the airport.
In the departure lounge there is a Special Assistance Waiting Area. At check-in, staff will advise disabled customers of their pre-boarding time. Customers should ensure they are at the desk by the pre-boarding time so that they can be assisted to their aircraft, if required. Disabled customers facing difficulties using the stairs are requested to advise the staff at the check-in desk, so that alternative arrangements can be made.
Disabled customers flying into London Luton Airport can be assisted from the aircraft, if required. Assistance is also available to collect baggage and to exit through the UK Border Agency Channels and on to the car park or public transport. Assistance is also provided for passengers with walking difficulties or unable to manage stairs. This assistance must be booked with the airline in advance.

Although most buses on Service 100 and 321 are accessible there are some step entrance vehicles still in service. Service 61 is almost always operated with step entrance buses, both single and double deck
Hire Car Facility
The Hire Car building is fully accessible with a Special Assistance Help Point, where staff can assist disabled customers to complete documentation. Shuttle buses are also fully accessible for access to and from the terminal.
