Security ID Pass Colours and Zoning
The colours of London Luton Airport Security ID Passes changed with effect from April 2004. The new passes are designed to comply with the Department for Transport's latest directive.
The passes have been designed to indicate the zones a person is
allowed to work in, and therefore each pass will show a number or
numbers to identify the zones in which that Security ID Pass holder
can be admitted.
Zones
1 - Internal Restricted Zone (including piers and walkways) but excluding zones 2 and
2 - Baggage Reclaim Halls
3 - Baggage make up area
Zones 1 - 3 are represented by a green Security ID Pass
4 - Ramp
5 - Aircraft and their footprints
6 - Other external areas of the restricted zone
Zones 4 - 6 are represented by a blue Security ID pass
7 - Landside
Zone 7 is represented by a yellow Security ID pass
8 - All areas
Zone 8 is represented by a red Security ID pass
9 - Controlled Zone
Zone 9 is represented by a black Security ID Pass
