What’s the process for collecting an Airport ID pass?

Temporary Visitor and Temporary Employment passes are ‘self-print’ and will be issued directly to you by the company / department who authorised your application.

Remember to bring the original proof of identity that supported your temporary pass application, and keep it with you at all times during your visit.

Full Airside and Landside ID Passes are collected at the ID Centre by appointment only.

You must bring the original proof of identity that supported your application and your previous pass (if applicable).

The ID Centre can be found here

What about when an ID pass holder’s details change?

The ID Centre must be informed of any changes.  Your Authorised Signatory will compete a Change of Details application via ID Gateway for any of the following reasons:

– change of appearance, such as hair colour
– change of name
– change of job title
– change of access requirements

If you’re changing your surname, original documentation must be provided in support of the application. This should either be a marriage certificate, Change of Name Deed or Decree Absolute.

What happens if my ID pass is lost or stolen?

Report it immediately to the ID Centre. If this should occur outside of ID Centre hours, you must notify the Airport Operations Centre.

Advise your company so your Authorised Signatory can apply for a new pass, and they will be notified when you can collect your replacement pass from the ID Centre.  You will need to bring valid proof of identity on pass collection.

Can I hold more than one pass, if more than one company employs me?

Yes, but your new company must complete a Full Airside ID Pass application and have permission from your existing company.

I have left / am leaving my employment at LLA – what do I do with my ID pass?

ID passes remain the property of LLA and must be surrendered on cessation of employment. Please return it to the company you work for. Failure to return an ID pass may result in a charge being made.
