Q. Can I take Christmas Crackers with me on my flight?

Answer:

Please note, the policy differs per Airline. As of December 2010 the policies are as follows:

Flybe - Maximum of ONE box of 12 crackers per passenger sealed in manufacturer's original packaging and must be placed in hold baggage.

easyJet - No more than two boxes of crackers per passenger may be taken onto the aircraft. Carriage is only permitted provided they are in the manufacturer's original sealed packaging. Crackers containing novelty items that are prohibited in hand baggage must be checked into the aircraft hold.


Crackers are NOT permitted at all on the following airlines

  • Aer Arann
  • El Al
  • Monarch
  • Ryanair
  • Thomson
  • Wizz Air

NB: Party Poppers are NOT permitted on any airline
