Frequently Asked Questions

Topic: ID Unit

Q: I am transferring to another company at the airport; do I need 5 year references again?

A:

If there is a gap of more than 14 days from transferring from one company to another, the 5 year employment references, character reference and Criminal Record Certificate (if applicable) will be required.

If a member of staff transfers across, and in doing so applies for, and is issued with a Visitor's Security ID Pass then the full referencing check must be carried out.

If you leave one company and then start employment within 14 days with the new company, we require a letter from your old employer confirming your exact employment dates, and that a full 5 year reference check and CRC was conducted when you started with them. In addition to this a letter from your new employer is required confirming your start date with them. A new CRC is not required, as we will transfer your existing expiry date on your Security ID Pass to your new one.
