Frequently Asked Questions

Topic: ID Unit

Q: What do I need to bring when collecting a Security ID Pass?

A:

When collecting a Security ID Pass, a valid form of identification will need to be provided (original documents only).  Failure to supply proof of identification will result in the pass not being issued.  Acceptable forms of identification, as governed by the Department of Transport, are:

British Nationals:

- Full 10 year valid passport
- British photo card driving licence with Counterpart

EEA Nationals:

- Full valid EEA Passport or National Identity Card

Other Nationals:

- Full valid Passport, together with an original Home Office document confirming the individual's right to be in the United Kingdom and giving evidence of the right to work

Other acceptable forms of identification that we accept are:

- Official UK issued airport pass

- Military ID

- Official ID or Warrant card from a statutory body

If there is a genuine problem in providing the above, your company's Authorising Officer should contact the ID Unit for guidance.
