Frequently Asked Questions

Topic: ID Unit

Q: What if I went travelling for a period of time?

A:

If you have spent any period of time outside of the United Kingdom (not including holiday taken whilst in employment), for periods of 14 days or more, a self declaration must be completed by you (Form Ref: PA6), and you must also provide proof of travel and a back up statement.

Proof of travel can be any of the following:

- Old airline tickets
- Passport with immigration stamps
- Visa or other travel documents

The proof of travel, along with the self declaration form must be submitted with your application. If no proof of travel can be provided, a character reference, which can verify your whereabouts during that period of time, will be required.
