Q: What if the company I worked for is no longer operating?

A:

If a company or educational establishment has closed down, or records no longer go back to the applicant's period of employment, the gap must be covered by a self declaration (Form Ref: PA5) and accompanied with a back up statement. The back up statement can be any of the following:

- A sworn statement from a solicitor

- A letter from the tax office confirming the dates of employment

- A letter from someone who can confirm their employment
