Topic: ID Centre
Q. I am transferring to another company at the airport; do I need 5 year references again?
Answer:
It depends on several factors. These factors are:
If there is a gap of more than 14 days from transferring from one company to another, the full referencing check must be carried out.
If a member of staff transfers companies and in doing so is issued with a visitors ID Pass then the full referencing check must be carried out.
If you leave one company and then start employment within 14 days with the new company, we require a letter from your oldemployer confirming your exact employment dates, and the letter must state that a full 5 year reference check and CRC and GSAT certificate was conducted when you started with them.
In addition to this a letter from your new employer is required confirming your start date with them. The new company must also complete an Access Area Requirement form (Form Ref: AA1). A new CRC is not required, as we will transfer your existing expiry date on your Security ID Pass to your new one.
Please note that ID Pass transfers can only be undertaken once. Anyone who transfers companies following an initial transfer will need to carry out the full referencing (as it is for an initial application).
