Q. What is a Visitor Security ID Pass?
Answer:
There are 3 types of visitor's passes available:
- 1 day
- 1-5 day
- 6-60 day
1 day visitor's pass
:
A visitor is entitled to apply for up to a maximum of five 1 day passes. However ad-hoc visitors can have up to ten 1 day passes.
5 day pass
:
Only one 5 day pass can be applied for providing no 1 day passes have been issued prior to requesting a 5 day pass.
The Application for 1-5 Day Airport I.D Card (Ref IDU2) must be completed for either a one or five day visitor pass and must be completed by your company’s Authorising Officer. An escort from the company who holds a full Security ID Pass must accompany the visitor when collecting the visitors pass and an acceptable proof of identity will be required. Visitors holding either a 1 or 5 day visitors pass must keep their proof of identity on them at all times for inspection.
6-60 day pass
:
Only one 6-60 day pass can be applied for. This can either be issued once the maximum number of either 1 day passes or a 5 day pass have been issued, or on the first request for a visitor's pass.
However once a 6-60 day pass has been issued you can not apply for any other type of visitors pass.
The visitor will need to show their 6-60 Day Visitor Pass to a member of Security Staff when accessing through a manned Security check point.
The Application for a 60 Day or Full Airport I.D Card (Ref IDU3) must be completed for a 60 day visitor pass and must be completed by your company’s Authorising Officer. Applications for this type of pass must be accompanied by references covering the preceding 12 months.
