Q. Why is a Security ID Pass Suspended?

Answer:

If a Security ID Pass has not been used for a period of 60 days, it will automatically be suspended ('parked') on the access control database. This is a legal requirement issued by the European Union and the Department for Transport.

Once a Security ID Pass has been suspended, it can only be reactivated on receipt of a Reinstatement of Full Airport I.D Card (Ref IDU5) which must be completed by an Authorising Officer stating why the Security ID Pass has not been used.

A full Airport I.D Pass application may be required, for any individual who’s Airport I.D Pass has not been used for a period of six months or more, and where an individual has not been continuously employed by the sponsoring company during the period an Airport I.D Pass has not been used.
