Winner Announced!
London Luton Airport is delighted to announce that Laura Hadland has been awarded £500 in travel vouchers as the winner of the Airport’s “Love Luton” photo competition.
Passengers departing from the Airport between 10th March and 30th April were invited to take part in an online competition by submitting photographs on Facebook of them wearing a commemorative “Love Luton” t-shirt at their destination of travel. Entries were then judged by the London Luton Airport Facebook community.
The competition took place as part of London Luton Airport’s backing of the Luton City Status bid. With the town linked to 93 destinations via the Airport, passengers have been able to spread the Love Luton message far and wide.
Taken in the heart of Bordeaux at Les Sources des Caudalie, overlooking the Chateau Smith Haute Lafitte, Laura Hadland was judged to be the winner out of the 35 people who took part. Second place was awarded to Years 8 and 9 from Pingle School for their photograph taken outside Gaudi’s House in Barcelona.
Glyn Jones, Managing Director of London Luton Airport and Co-Chair of the Luton City Status Bid said “We have been really impressed by the variety and imagination of the entries submitted. Special congratulations go to Laura Hadland and the pupils at Pingle School for their entries, and a huge thank you to all those who helped put the Love Luton campaign on the map across the world.”
