Wizz Air Celebrates at London Luton Airport

Wizz Air the largest low fare - low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe is celebrating more than eight million passengers travelling at London Luton Airport since its launch at the Airport in May 2004.

This number represents an important milestone in Wizz Air’s journey towards the next target of 10 million passengers and reflects the Airline’s increasing popularity as the carrier of choice to over 20 Central and Eastern European destinations.

Passenger Andrew Jackson was travelling back to his home in Budapest when he was identified as the eight millionth person to travel and was presented with a pair of free flights, courtesy of Wizz Air.

Simon Harley, Airline Manager London Luton Airport, said, “London Luton Airport is proud to be Wizz Air’s principal hub within the UK and to have played a part in the fantastic progress they have made since 2004.
