Airport launches public consultation on draft Noise Action Plan

Published: 28 September 2009

A public consultation was launched today by London Luton Airport on the airport’s draft Noise Action Plan. The consultation will run for 16 weeks and will close on Sunday 17th January 2010.

The draft Noise Action Plan looks at issues surrounding aircraft noise and outlines what London Luton Airport proposes to do to further improve its approach to noise management.

London Luton Airport is seeking responses to a number of consultation questions about the draft Noise Action Plan and will be holding two public exhibitions to explain more about its proactive approach to noise management.

Further information about the consultation process, including exhibition dates, can be found at www.londonlutoninthecommunity.co.uk/environment/  where a copy of the draft Noise Action Plan is available for download.

Simon Earles, General Manager Corporate Social Responsibility said "London Luton Airport is proud of its noise management record, developed over many years with the support of the London Luton Airport Consultative Committee and local community representatives.  Our draft Noise Action Plan details how we intend to build on this good work and we look forward to receiving comments and feedback from local people."
