Road Safety Enforcement Charges

London Luton Airport would like to remind passengers to use the drop off and pick up facilities provided.

For those wishing to drop-off immediately outside the terminal, Priority Set-Down is conveniently located at a cost of £2 for 15minutes.

Alternatively 30 minutes free parking is provided in the Mid Term car park for the purposes of drop off and pick up.  A free, two minute bus transfer from the Mid Term car park to the terminal operates every fifteen minutes.

An £80 enforcement charge is payable by drivers who stop their vehicles to drop off or pick up passengers on the approach roads, roundabout, or bus lane leading up to the Airport terminal. This charge is reduced to £40 if paid within 14 days.

It is intended to stop the practice of drivers picking up or setting down passengers in unauthorised areas, which poses a risk both to the safety of passengers and that of other road users, as well as causing congestion and disruption to traffic. The enforcement charge will be strictly enforced with mobile CCTV cameras.

Priority Set Down Charges

An £80 charge is payable by those users who exceed the 15 minute time limit in Priority Set Down, reduced to £40 if paid within 14 days. This is enforced by number plate recognition cameras that record every vehicle entering and leaving the Priority Set Down area.

Disabled Parking

Disabled parking bays are available for those customers who are able to exit the vehicle within the 15 minute time limit and do not need to leave the vehicle unattended.

Disabled customers wishing to leave their cars unattended or park for longer should use the Short Term car park.
