Everyone arriving in the UK has to clear customs

As you leave Baggage Reclaim and head out into the public Arrivals area, you'll see different channels relating to the type of goods you're carrying.

Choose the green customs channel if you have ‘Nothing to Declare’  or the red ‘Goods to Declare’ channel if you do.

Connecting Flights

If you’re collecting your baggage and checking in to your next flight yourself, you need to pass through customs at London Luton and proceed to the check-in desk.

£10,000 or more

You must complete a cash declaration form if you are carrying £10,000 or more when entering or leaving the UK, from or to any other country. A form can be collected and handed in at any red channel or a red point phone can be used. For more information and to obtain and online form go to Take cash in and out of the UK.

You’re responsible for the goods you carry through, so make sure what you take into the UK belongs to you. If you need assisted digital support to make your declaration, you can call the HMRC helpline on 0300 322 9434, Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm. Outside these hours, use the red channel or the red phone at the airport.
