We are working hard to reduce the noise and environmental impact on the neighbouring areas. LLA’s Noise Violation scheme ensures aircraft which are above the specific noise levels are subjected to a fine. In addtion to the Noise Violation Scheme we also have an off-track Monitoring Scheme, meaning if aircraft leave the corridor before reaching the required altitude, aircraft will also recieve a fine. All fines (both noise and off-track) are put into the Community Trust Fund. Typical off-track violations are shown below.
At LLA, we are proud to say that all of our Noise and Off-track fines are put into our Community Trust Fund.  In 2021 a total of 29 aircraft were fined for noise and off-track violations, which generated a total £31,000 that is put towards the Community Trust Fund. In addition to the noise and off-track violation fines, in 2021 LLA contributed £213,000 into the Community Trust Fund.
