Arriva Routes

Route A

Runs in a clockwise loop, starting at London Luton Airport, then traveling through Luton, Dunstable, Houghton Regis, Tithe Farm, Lewsey Farm and Luton and Dunstable Hospital, before heading back to Luton and the airport. This service operates 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Route MK1

Key destinations include Bedford Bus Station, Elstow, Wixams, Wilstead, Clophill, Silsoe, Barton-le-Clay, Luton Station Interchange, Wigmore Asda, and Central Milton Keynes. This service operates hourly from Monday to Saturday, with no service on Sundays.

Onsite Shuttle Bus

APCOA shuttle bus services run between London Luton Airport Terminal and the London Luton Airport Car Hire Centre/Staff Car Park every 15 minutes, Monday to Sunday. For live bus tracking information, see the links below:

Route 757: Key destinations include Luton Town Centre, Bricket Wood, Brent Cross, and London Victoria. This service operates every 30 minutes from Monday to Sunday.

National Rail

East Midlands Railway

East Midlands Railway services are a central part of LLA’s commitment to prioritising rail travel for staff, providing fast and reliable connections between Luton Airport Parkway and destinations including London St Pancras International, Luton, Bedford, Wellingborough, Kettering and Corby. Rail is actively promoted as a primary mode for longer-distance commuting due to its high frequency, low journey times and direct links into Central London and the wider region.

Services operate every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday, supporting a wide range of shift patterns. From Corby, the first train departs at 04:32 and the last at 22:33. From London St Pancras International, the first service departs at 05:33 and the last at 23:54.

On Sundays, services run at a reduced frequency, with the first train departing Corby at 12:00 and the last at 21:10. From London St Pancras International, services operate between 09:00 and 22:30.

Thameslink

Luton DART

The Luton DART connects Luton Airport Parkway to London Luton Airport in under four minutes.

It operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with services running every 4-15 minutes.

Walking and Cycling

National Cycle Route 6

This route provides traffic-free walking and cycling paths through Luton, Harpenden, Houghton Regis, Dunstable, and Leighton Buzzard, with sections running through the Lea Valley.

Cycles on the Luton DART

Employees can also take their cycle with them free of charge on the Luton DART.

LLAOL Octopus Electric Vehicle Scheme:

  • Answer “Yes” to: “Has your company already signed up to the Octopus EV salary sacrifice scheme?”
  • Follow the login link and enter your email address to receive a login code
  • Once logged in, select “Order” and complete the “You’re new here” section
  • Enter the LLA scheme access code when prompted: LON19118
  • Choose your:
    • Vehicle model, trim, colour, and options
    • Lease term (24 or 36 months)
    • Annual mileage (5,000–30,000 miles)
  • Review your estimated net monthly cost (no credit check required)
  • Proceed with your order request
  • Octopus EV will generate your Driver Agreement
  • Review and sign your documents:
    • Driver Agreement
    • Driver Handbook
  • Documents are sent via Signable
  • Signing confirms your salary sacrifice request

LLA approval process:

  • LLA will confirm:
    • Scheme eligibility
    • Salary remains above National Minimum Wage, Real Living Wage, and National Insurance Contributions thresholds
    • Insurance eligibility
  • Once approved, LLA authorises the order

Veichle ordering and delivery:

  • Octopus EV places the vehicle order with the dealership
  • Within 3 business days, Octopus EV will confirm your final vehicle specification
  • You will receive:
    • Estimated delivery times
    • Access to the order tracker
    • Progress updates through production and delivery

Delivery or collection:

  • Octopus EV or the dealership will contact you once the vehicle is ready
  • Arrange delivery or collection at a convenient time
  • Vehicle arrives ready to drive

Salary sacrifice and benefits:

  • Salary sacrifice deductions begin from the payroll month after delivery
  • Benefit-in kind-tax will appear on your payslip

What is included:

End of agreement options:

  • Octopus EV will contact you before the agreement ends

• Percival House car park – 5 charging stations

*Please note that charging is priced at 37p per kilowatt.

Airport ID passes and Staff Travel Discounts

As part of our team, you are entitled to the following benefits:

Airport ID Passes and Staff Travel Discount Card

Our employee travel discounts are designed to make commuting easier and more affordable for all active LLA airport ID passholders.

Airport ID Passes

You are eligible for LLA staff travel discounts if you have a valid Airport ID pass issued by LLA's ID Unit.  

You can use your active LLA airport ID pass to access staff travel discounts on Arriva local buses and regional coaches. Simply show your pass to the driver when boarding, or upload it as proof when purchasing tickets through the LLA Employee Arriva Travel Club.

*Active easyJet ID passes are also accepted for travel on the Arriva network only.

Staff Travel Discount Card

The LLA Staff Travel Discount Card (see below), is required for travel on Thameslink Railway:

How to Apply

LLA ID Unit pass holders: Bring your active LLA ID pass to the LLA ID Unit to have your Staff Travel Card issued.

Renewing an Expired Travel Card

If your Staff Travel Discount Card has expired, please visit the LLA ID Unit. They will reissue your card, provided you have an active LLA ID Unit ID pass.  

Visiting the LLA ID Unit

Staff Travel Discount Cards are issued on a walk-in basis only, so waiting times may vary. To help manage queues around pre-booked ID pass appointments and limited space in the LLA ID Unit, please arrive in groups of no more than two people.
