Airport facilities

Changing places logoAdult changing facilities

There are accessible toilets throughout the airport, and we also have an adult changing facility in the departure lounge, after security. It is located in the quiet room next to gate 17. This includes a toilet, shower facility, a height adjustable changing bench and a hoist.

Quiet room

Our Quiet Room is located next to Gate 17, in Departures. Everyone travelling from London Luton Airport needs to go through security. We know airports can be a stressful experience and present challenges for many people, so you may find this area more comfortable. The Quiet Room is a multi-use room intended for any passenger seeking a quieter area to wait away from the crowds of the main departure area.

As it is not a designated space for those using our Special Assistance services, the Quiet Room is not staffed or monitored to ensure quietness is observed. We therefore rely on all passengers who use the Quiet Room to observe its intentions as a quieter environment. Because of this, we make no guarantee that the room will be quiet.

We ask that passengers respect the space and the needs of all users of the Quiet Room.

Please also be advised that for safety and convenience, public announcements will sound in this room.

As an alternative, we also have Executive Lounges at LLA, details of which can be found on our website.

Water fountains

Water fountains are located just after security, at the base of the lifts before going up to the departure lounge. Most of our food outlets will provide free tap water upon request too.

Hearing loop

We have recently upgraded our hearing loop facilities and now have 130 hearing loops all around the airport site. This will ensure customers with hearing aids can communicate with staff in the check-in area, security search area, departure gates and border control.

A hearing loop is available anywhere you see this sign.

Service animal relief area

If travelling with an Assistance animal, we have an animal relief area located at the front of the terminal building (near bus stop T) should you wish to relieve your animal before catching your flight. Just look out for this sign.
