No airport can function without security, and at LLA we have the latest systems for ensuring passenger safety. The better prepared you are, the easier it is to sail through to Departures.

Our Fast Track service speeds up the journey between our public Departures area and Security. When you show your ticket at the entrance to the lane, you can fast-track straight to our Security Hall.

It’s a great way to give yourself more time for eating, drinking, shopping, reading, snoozing…whatever you enjoy doing most while you wait for your flight.

For holiday essentials, high fashion, and everything in between, we have a great selection of shops for you to explore, including our Duty Free section.

Deliciousness is on the menu in our cafes, restaurants, bars and shops.

British passport holders have encountered a significant change post-Brexit, it is important you are aware of these changes to ensure a smooth journey when travelling.

This change is known as the 10-year rule, majority of EU countries will not accept British Passports issued more than 10 years before your date of travel

Ensure your passport is valid before travelling to save disappointment and interrupted travels.

Skip the queues by reserving a free, 30-minute security slot up to 4 days before your arrival. Available between 3 AM and 15:00 PM.

There are ATMs in the Check-in area, the Departures area and in the Arrivals.

Help is at hand

Our Guest Experience team can be found throughout the airport. They're there to answer any questions, offer any directions, help with medical emergencies and generally keep an eye on things.

They’re easy to find – just look out for the information desk located by the entrance of the terminal where they will be waiting with a big friendly smile. Alternatively, you can pick up a red courtesy phone to contact them. 

We’re always here to offer Special Assistance to passengers who need it.

Don’t worry. You can buy postage stamps from WH Smith and pop it in our postbox before Security. Phew.

Sorry, but smoking is not permitted anywhere within our buildings. That includes electronic cigarettes. The only smoking zone is outside the front entrance to Departures.

For those who require it, our dedicated Chaplaincy team and multi-faith prayer room can offer a listening ear and a place for quiet contemplation.

On arrival into LLA, you’ll need to go through Passport Control. If you have an ePassport, the easiest way to get through border control is to use the eGates. But, you must check you're eligible first. Use the link below for more information.

Between Luggage Reclaim and our public Arrivals area, you’ll have to pass through UK Customs.
