The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

At JDRF we are committed to eradicating type 1 diabetes. JDRF research has led to new developments in diabetes technology and treatment and is laying the foundations for a cure. We support everyone living with type 1 diabetes, by working with policymakers to increase the availability of treatments and by providing information and resources to help people manage their condition. Through our international JDRF network, our funding of UK researchers, our advocacy work with the NHS and the support we provide to people with type 1, we know that we can push new boundaries and generate unprecedented progress in the next few years to prevent, treat and ultimately find cures for type 1 diabetes.

Colostomy UK

Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people living with a stoma, their families, carers, and friends. We’re here if you have questions, need support or just want to talk to someone who lives with a stoma. We have a 24/7 Stoma helpline, trained volunteers, a closed Facebook support group, support literature and Tidings our support magazine. We also run care workshops with the help of a stoma care nurse and deliver stoma-aware training to educate organisations about the needs of ostomates, and the nature of their condition.
We run active ostomates campaigns to EMPOWER ostomates to return to sports, hobbies and other interests and give them the confidence to take up fresh challenges. We are advocates for ostomates’ rights and their voice on the bigger issues. Our campaigns raise awareness and encourage organisations to make their facilities more inclusive. SUPPORTING and enhancing ostomates well-being is at the core of everything we do.
