Title: Aviation Security Trainer
Location: Training Team Office at Terminal
Reporting to: Aviation Security Training Manager
Job purpose summary:
As an Aviation Security Trainer, you will be responsible for the delivery of all training objectives and session plans for the full range of Aviation Security courses in line with the current industry syllabuses, ensuring you maintain sector-leading standards across all areas.
You will be required to work both alone and as part of a team of driven trainers
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Delivering a range of Security Courses, including GSAT, GSO and GSS effectively and professionally.
Delivering additional Training Courses as required by the company.
Liaise with and deliver Training to LLA and 3rd party contractors.
Monitor progress, providing feedback and adjustments to trainees as needed.
Overseeing DNXCT’s, CBT and TIP performance data.
Support On the Job Training and conduct procedural assessments.
Maintaining accurate records of all trainees / officers.
Completing and issuing certificates, ensuring accuracy.
Deliver coaching and support sessions to trainees/officers.
Carry out Covert and Overt Tests in accordance with company requirements .
Support with operational assistance requests.
Supporting Recruitment Events .
Attending Training and Standardisation meetings.
Maintaining CDP.
Carry out all additional responsibilities requested by the Training and Compliance Department to meet requirements.
Contribute to delivering a great guest experience by performing your role with accuracy and efficiency. Recognising that every task, whether guest-facing or behind the scenes, contributes to supporting the company’s overall LLA Way Strategy and service standards.
Proactively and positively promote the LLA Way initiatives and projects with all employees and the wider airport community.
Knowledge, skills, and experience:
Essential
Certified Instructor Number (CIN) holding training accreditation.
Level 3 Award in Education accreditation, PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) or equivalent.
RFX qualification.
GSO & GSS qualifications.
Knowledge and experience of the Aviation Security Industry and DfT / CAA legislation from working in positions within airports and having held other roles.
Highly effective organisational skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
A strong, effective ‘team-player’ who works collaboratively with their peers.
A passion to deliver great training.
Adaptable to a fast-changing industry.
Full 5-year background checks.
Criminal record checks.
CTC check.
Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
ASM qualification.
Experience in delivering training courses within Aviation Security, including the following courses:
- GSO – Initial and recurrent
- GSS – Initial and recurrent
- ASM – Initial and recurrent
- IFS – Initial and recurrent
- GSAT
