Innsbruck

Innsbruck is a picturesque and charming city nestled in the Austrian Alps.

About Innsbruck

Tucked away amidst the majestic peaks of the Austrian Alps, Innsbruck is a charming European city that marries natural beauty with rich cultural heritage. Did you know it's only one hour north of the Italian border?

Innsbruck is a haven for year-round outdoor adventures. Go mountain biking on local trails in the summertime, or ski and snowboard down the mountains in the winter.

Not too sporty? Let Innsbruck’s historic charm and architectural wonders draw you in. You’ll spot the Golden Roof as you walk around the Altstadt (Old Town). Over 2,500 copper tiles catch the sunlight amongst the colourful buildings. Make sure you visit the Hofburg Palace too. It’s one of three significant cultural buildings in Austria, alongside the Hofburg Palace and Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna.

Wander around the world-class museums dotted across the city — we’d recommend driving 25 minutes out of Innsbruck to the Swarovski Museum to make your trip sparkle. And as the snow falls, Innsbruck comes alive with Christmas markets and plenty of Austrian traditions.

Fly from London Luton Airport to Innsbruck in 2 hours.
