About Rhodes
As the fourth-largest Greek island behind Crete, Evia and Lesbos, Rhodes is a vibrant Greek islands. A mix of sandy beaches, historical sites and lively resorts make Rhodes an ideal Greece holiday destination for all types of travellers.
Looking for the beach? You’re spoilt for choice in Rhodes. Lay out towels and soak up the sun on the sandy Tsambika Beach or the pebbly Afantou Beach. Those wanting to get on the water can jetski and windsurf around the island. We’d recommend heading to Faliraki and Ixia in the north of the island for the best views of the sweeping Mediterranean Sea.
Rhodes isn’t all sun, sea and sand. Stay in the north of the island and visit Saint Nicholas Fortress. Discover six centuries of island history as you climb to the top of the standalone building and peek out the lighthouse. Drive one hour south to Lindos, a quaint Greek village that’s home to the archaeological site Lindos Acropolis. Unwind at the end of the day at St. Paul’s Bay for extra charm.
And as Rhodes is only 50 miles long, it’s easy to get around the entire island in a day! Step off the plane and you’re at an ideal base for a cultural holiday in the sun.
Fly from London Luton Airport to Rhodes in 4 hours and 15 minutes.
