Located on the southwestern Turkish coast, beach lovers will enjoy the variety of resorts in the Dalaman region. Each area boasts individual characteristics, including Marmaris, Icmeler, Ölüdeniz or Fethiye.

Marmaris is a popular Turkey destination. By day, head to one of the dozens of sandy and pebbly beaches against a striking backdrop of seaside mountains. Visit the world-famous Dalyan mud baths for ultimate relaxation, or uncover Turkey’s historic side at Marmaris Castle. By night, watch Marmaris come alive on the aptly named Bar Street, home to dozens of bars, restaurants, cafes and clubs open until the early hours.

Eight kilometres south of Marmaris, Icmeler is a small, picturesque holiday resort made for guaranteed relaxation. Visit the Icmeler market every Wednesday to stock up on local goods — make sure to grab some authentic Turkish delight! Stop at a beachside bar lined with palm trees and eucalyptus trees for a chilled evening.

Head to the southern coast to visit Ölüdeniz, a popular beach resort on a bay of soft sands and azure blue seas. Stroll around the shops and local markets in Ölüdeniz before an evening of open-air waterfront dining. It’s an ideal holiday spot for couples or family holidays, as there are plenty of evening plans to be had around the seafront bars and clubs.

Drive an hour north of Ölüdeniz to Fethiye. Perched on the hillside of Mount Mendos, Fethiye looks out across Fethiye Bay, home to 12 small islands. Book a sailing trip from Fethiye Marina to swim around the dozen islands in a day. Want to stay in town? Walk along the cobbled streets and pick up traditional items at the Paspatur bazaar.
