Welcome to London Luton Airport (LLAOL). We are the 5th largest airport in the UK and provide a service to millions of passenger a year.  We have the vision to be the simplest and friendliest major airport, focused on sustainable growth. 

The airport indirectly employs over 9000 employees and is a key economic driver for the region.  We at LLAOL directly employ 800 people and are rapidly growing across the airport.  Our trusted and friendly departments working directly for London Luton Airport are:

Security

Everything that the trusted security team at LLAOL do is to ensure that passengers, visitors and staff can go about their business feeling safe and secure. They provide security across the airport, and work closely with other departments to make sure that the airport can run smoothly and efficiently while complying with all the security requirements of air travel.

Airside Operations

The primary objective of this professional and highly knowledgeable department is to establish and maintain a safe and efficient airside environment. In doing so this team undertakes a broad range of exciting activities involving the aircrafts, the airfield and the cargo function.

Guest Experience

The Guest Experience team take accountability for the end to end guest experience. They ensure guests have a pleasant and safe journey through the terminal by showing they care and sharing what they know.

Fire Fighting Service

The primary role of the Rescue & Fire Fighting Service is to save lives in the event of an incident. They are trained to the highest level to deal with all types of aviation emergencies, as well as providing life saving first aid to all airport users. They play a hugely important and trusted role in keeping everyone safe.

Technical Services

Our friendly technical services team work across all areas of the airport to keep everything running smoothly. They maintain all of our facilities, infrastructure and vehicles, as well as managing our baggage control and leading on huge projects like the DART.

Health, Safety and Wellbeing

This professional team ensures that all employees, third parties and passengers remain healthy and safe whilst on site at LLAOL through effective management of risk so far as is reasonably practicable. They also work to ensure employees wellbeing is at the forefront of every decision we make at LLAOL.

Finance

The Finance team is responsible for managing the financial aspects of the airports operation. Responsibilities include understanding and reporting financial performance, budgeting, procurement, paying suppliers and invoicing.

Procurement

The primary role of procurement is to obtain Best Value for Money, buying quality goods and services at the best possible prices. They are an ambitious team who always strive to promote sustainability, inclusivity and ethical practices.

Information Technology

The IT team provides support helpdesk services to all LLAOL employees, as well as managing cyber security and all of the telecoms/equipment at LLAOL.

Marketing and Communications

The ambitious marketing & communications team is responsible for promoting the airport’s services whilst ensuring LLAOL’s core brand values and corporate identity are communicated effectively.

Commercial

At LLAOL, we have an incredibly ambitious commercial team. The team achieves its objectives through a developed commercial strategy, working with concessionaires and stakeholders to plan, budget, design, innovate and manage key business partners in the delivery of commercial products that meet our guests needs.

Human Resources

The HR focus on the people at LLAOL and their experience. They support the life cycle of an employee including how we attract, recruit, retain and develop people. The HR team are always striving to transform our peoples experience of LLAOL and work to provide the best possible support to our managers and employees.

Flight Operations

The Flight Operations Department is responsible for monitoring and managing the airports airspace and ensuring that we maintain an efficient route structure that minimises emissions as well as the impact of aircraft noise on our local community. This is essential to ensure growth in a sustainable manner.

Legal

The professional legal team are responsible for all aspects of the legal function affecting the airport, and work with all of the LLAOL teams. This includes areas such as contracts, commercial law, construction, procurement, corporate governance, operational matters and the management of disputes.

Sustainability

The sustainability team are an ambitious group of people working towards NetZero at LLAOL. They are the trusted team that deploy the sustainability strategy, working together with stakeholders to ensure the environmental, social and economic success of LLAOL.
